Danae Azaria | ‘State Silence in International Law’, Closed Seminar to the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Singapore

15 September 2025
Attorney-General’s Chambers, Government of Singapore

Assoc. Professor Dr Danae Azaria gave a closed seminar at the Attorney-General’s Chambers of the Government of Singapore on 15 September 2025, attended by the Solicitor-General and a team of 16 government lawyers.

Dr Azaria addressed legal effects of State silence in multilateral treaties and Conferences of Parties, including consensus. The seminar was based on research published in Dr Azaria’s new book, State Silence Across International Law (OUP 2025), and the latest significant example of public engagement that the research funded by the ERC Starting Grant has generated.
